GameVerse Discord Bot for LFG Announcements

Add the free GameVerse bot to your Discord server: live LFG announcements for the games your members play, a Join button, and no message reading.

Add to Discord

The GameVerse bot brings the announcements players publish on GameVerse into your Discord server. Pick a channel, choose the games your community plays, and every new group looking for teammates shows up there, with a button to join it.

What the bot does

  • Live LFG announcements: when a player publishes an announcement in the GameVerse app, the bot posts it in your channel. It edits the message when the group fills up and deletes it once the group is closed or expired, so the channel never fills up with dead posts.
  • A Join button: members click it and land straight in the lobby in the GameVerse app, voice chat included.
  • Filters by game and language: your server only sees announcements for the games and languages you choose. No filter means every game.
  • /lfg for your members: anyone can type /lfg with a game name and get a link that opens the GameVerse announcement form, with the game already selected.
  • GameVerse animations, if you want them: scheduled community sessions run by the GameVerse team. They are off by default and clearly labelled as GameVerse animations.

Set it up in two minutes

  1. Add the bot to your server. You need the Manage Server permission.
  2. Run /gameverse setup and pick the channel where announcements go, and optionally the bot's language (English or French).
  3. Add the games your community plays with /gameverse games add. Skip this step to show every game.
  4. Check everything with /gameverse status: channel, filters, health, and how many announcements were posted and clicked.

Permissions: only what it needs

The bot asks for three permissions on the announcement channel: View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links. It does not ask for administrator rights, it cannot read your members' messages, and it does not load your member list: it only uses Discord's Guilds gateway intent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the GameVerse bot free?

Yes. The bot is free, like GameVerse itself. There is no premium tier and no feature locked behind a payment.

Can members publish an announcement from Discord?

Not directly. Announcements are published from the GameVerse app, where the lobby and the voice chat live. The /lfg command gives your members a link that opens the announcement form with their game already selected.

Will the bot spam my server?

No. It posts only in the channel you chose, only for the games and languages you selected, and it deletes announcements once they are over. Animations are off unless an admin turns them on, and you set how many per day and how far apart.

Does the bot read our messages?

No. It does not request the Message Content intent and it does not see the member list. It reads the slash commands sent to it and the button clicks on its own messages.

What happens when someone joins an animation?

The waitlist counts the members who pressed the button, and each of them gets one direct message when the session opens. Nothing is pre-filled and nobody is pinged.

Can I pause the bot without losing my settings?

Yes. /gameverse disable stops posting and keeps your channel and filters. Run /gameverse setup again to turn it back on.

Bring your community to GameVerse

Your server stays the place where your community talks. GameVerse adds the matchmaking: players looking for a duo, trio or squad on the same game, mode and region. Add the GameVerse bot and your members see them in your server.
