Free Fire Ranks in Order: Full BR and CS Rank List

All Free Fire ranks in order for Battle Royale and Clash Squad, Bronze to Grandmaster, with divisions, how points and stars work, and the season reset.

Free Fire ranks in order, from lowest to highest, are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Heroic, Elite Heroic, Master, Elite Master and Grandmaster, and the same ladder is used in Battle Royale (BR) and Clash Squad (CS). Bronze to Diamond are split into numbered divisions, Heroic and above are wide bands you climb with stars, and Grandmaster is not a points target at all: Garena places the top 300 players of each region in it. BR and CS ranks and seasons are separate.

We checked Garena's official patch notes, dev blog and support pages, plus recent rank guides, on November 5, 2026. Garena does not publish a full points table, so where guides disagree we say so instead of picking a number.

About points: fan sites publish BR tables that start around 1,000 points in Bronze, but their thresholds for Platinum and above do not match each other, and Garena adjusts them between seasons. Your rank screen in the game is the only reliable number.

How ranking works in Battle Royale

In BR Ranked you gain or lose rank points (RP) after each match. Garena's support page lists what raises your RP: a high placement, eliminations and damage dealt. Each match also has a daily mission: you get one try per day, and completing all daily missions in one match pays extra RP. Surviving longer earns Rank Tokens, which you spend in the Redemption Store.

Above Diamond the rules get stricter. Garena's 2022 dev blog raised the RP for strong results in Heroic and above: a squad Booyah with 10 eliminations went from a range of 25 to 50 RP to a range of 30 to 60 RP. In 2026, coverage of Garena's in-game notice for BR Season 53 (from September 1, 2026) says placement now weighs less and medals matter more for Elite Heroic and above, which makes Master harder to reach. In practice: from Elite Heroic, hiding for a top 3 finish is not enough, you need fights.

How ranking works in Clash Squad

Clash Squad is 4v4 and round based: the first team to win 4 rounds takes the match. Instead of rank points, CS progress is counted in stars, and Garena's support page states that progression is only awarded to match winners. Guides report that a loss usually takes a star back and that win streaks can give extra stars. Garena's 2022 dev blog also mentioned protection points for players who perform well in a lost match, so one bad game does not always cost you.

Season reset: what happens to your rank

Garena's support page says ranks reset at the end of each season and that, depending on your performance, you may start the new season at a higher rank. It is a partial reset: nobody goes back to the bottom, but everyone drops. Guides that track the resets report that Diamond and higher players usually restart around Gold, while Bronze and Silver players restart near the bottom of the ladder.

Season rewards are given for the highest rank you reached during the season, not where you finished. BR and CS run on different calendars: as of November 5, 2026, BR Season 54 started on November 1 and the current CS season started on October 1, according to the sources in the Quick facts table.

How to climb with a duo or a squad

A few habits matter more than aim:

  1. Agree on the drop before the plane. Splitting up at landing is the most common way a random squad dies early, and in BR that means negative RP.
  2. Pick a plan for placement versus fights. Below Heroic, a safe top 5 is fine. From Elite Heroic, your squad needs eliminations, so decide who pushes and who covers.
  3. Use the in-game tools. The OB53 update added a Group Up icon and automatic alerts that tell teammates when you capture an airdrop or still have no main weapon after landing.
  4. In CS, share the economy. Decide when you save and when everyone buys, and hold positions as four, not as four solo players.
  5. Keep teammates who play well. After a match, the Assemble button lets you team up again with random teammates from the last game, which is the simplest way to keep a good duo.

Also check the rank gap before you queue. Guides report that the game can block or cancel ranked matchmaking when squad members are too far apart, so a Grandmaster carrying a Gold friend may not be allowed in. The same team ideas apply in our guide to climbing ranked in Valorant.

Where to find teammates for ranked

  • Friends list and guild: the most reliable, since you already know how they play.
  • Assemble after a match: quick, and you have just seen the player in action.
  • Discord and Reddit: Free Fire community servers and subreddits have LFG posts. Say your region, mode and rank, or your post gets ignored.
  • GameVerse: an app for Android (Google Play), Windows, macOS and Linux, with iPhone coming soon. You pick Free Fire, the mode (Duo, Squad or Clash Squad) and your region, chill or competitive, and it shows players online now, up to 8 in one search, that you can message. It does not match on rank, role or schedule, so put your rank in your first message, along with your server or country, since Asia is one region. See the Free Fire page or start from find players.

A good first message: "Heroic, BR squad, India server, mic on, playing for 2 hours, want to push Master tonight."

FAQ

What are all the ranks in Free Fire in order?

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Heroic, Elite Heroic, Master, Elite Master and Grandmaster, from lowest to highest. The order is the same in Battle Royale and Clash Squad.

What is the highest rank in Free Fire?

Grandmaster. It is reserved for the top 300 players of each region, updated daily, and it has been split into 6 tiers since the April 2024 patch.

How many points do you need for Heroic in Free Fire?

Garena does not publish an official table, and fan site numbers differ. Check the rank screen in the game for the exact threshold this season.

When does the Free Fire rank reset?

At the end of each ranked season. As of November 5, 2026, BR Season 54 started on November 1 and the current Clash Squad season on October 1. The reset is partial, so you start lower but not from zero.

Are BR rank and CS rank the same?

No. They use the same tier names but are tracked separately, with rank points in BR and stars in CS, and their seasons start on different dates.

Do I need a squad to rank up in Free Fire?

No, you can queue solo, but a duo or squad with a shared plan wins more fights, which matters most in Clash Squad where only wins count.
