Call of Duty LFG: MW4 Squad Finder

Call of Duty LFG for Modern Warfare 4. Find players online now in your region for 6v6 multiplayer or a DMZ trio, then message them and team up.

Find Call of Duty players with GameVerse

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (MW4) launched on October 23, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and, for the first time in over a decade, a Nintendo console with the Switch 2. GameVerse is the Call of Duty LFG that helps you find people to play with while the whole community is still learning the new maps.

Why Call of Duty needs a squad finder

Call of Duty has always been a game you can play solo in a lobby of strangers, and that is exactly the problem. Public 6v6 matches drop you with teammates who never talk, never take the objective and leave after two rounds. The pain points are specific:

  • Strangers on objective modes: Hardpoint, Control and Search and Destroy fall apart when nobody calls out where the enemy is.
  • Matchmaking you cannot control: skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) puts you in tough lobbies, and a coordinated party is the one thing that helps. See our guide to SBMM in Call of Duty.
  • DMZ needs a third: a squad is capped at three, and a trio with someone you can talk to is the easy way to learn Hajin.

GameVerse shows you players who are online now for Call of Duty in your region, chill or competitive. You write the mode or goal in free text and message them directly.

Multiplayer: 6v6 with a party that talks

Multiplayer is the core of MW4: twelve 6v6 maps at launch, plus Gunfight and Ground War maps for smaller and larger fights. A party of friends who already work together beats six strangers almost every time. Use GameVerse to find the first teammates, then agree in the built-in messaging on the playlist, whether you play objective modes seriously, and who is on a mic.

MW4 supports crossplay across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch 2, so a party can mix platforms. Say in your messages which platform you are on, so nobody is surprised at the invite.

DMZ: squads of up to three

DMZ is the extraction mode in Modern Warfare 4. Twenty squads of up to three drop into Hajin, loot, complete objectives and try to exfil, and you can also deploy solo. The game has its own Squad Fill, but filling with random players is a lottery. GameVerse finds the first teammates, and you settle the plan in messaging: who runs the missions, who covers the exfil, and whether you push fights or avoid them. For a full walkthrough, read how to find a squad in MW4 DMZ.

Looking for Warzone?

Looking for battle royale? That is a different game with its own squads and maps: use the Warzone LFG. This page is about Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer and DMZ.

What to agree on before you play

GameVerse does not match on skill, rank or schedule, and groups go up to 8 players per search, so the details are yours to settle:

  1. Mode: 6v6 playlist, objective modes only, Gunfight, Ground War or DMZ.
  2. Platform: who is on what, so the invite works the first time.
  3. Voice: a mic is the difference between a squad and four people in the same lobby.
  4. Goal: camos and levelling, a casual night, or a serious stack.
  5. Schedule: when you play and for how long.

Whether you still call it COD, MW4 or just "the new Modern Warfare", the Call of Duty player search works the same way.

FAQ

What is the best Call of Duty LFG?

Most players start with the Call of Duty Discord servers, the Call of Duty subreddit and the in-game party and Squad Fill tools. They either drop you with random teammates or work like notice boards, where you post and wait for the right person to read it. GameVerse is a Call of Duty LFG that does the matching for you. It shows players who are online now for the same game and region, chill or competitive, and you message them directly to team up.

Which Call of Duty does GameVerse cover?

This page covers the current premium release, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (multiplayer and DMZ). The free battle royale has its own page: Warzone LFG.

Does Modern Warfare 4 have Zombies?

Zombies is not part of the MW4 launch lineup: the modes at launch are the campaign, multiplayer and DMZ. If that changes, you can use GameVerse for it as well: write the mode in free text when you search.

Can I find a DMZ trio?

Yes. DMZ squads go up to three players. Find teammates with GameVerse, then agree in the built-in messaging on the missions you want to run and who communicates on exfil.

Can I play Call of Duty with friends on other platforms?

Yes. MW4 supports crossplay between PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch 2. Say which platform you play on when you message someone, so the party invite goes through.
