EA FC 27 Clubs (Pro Clubs): How to Find a Team

Clubs is the new name for Pro Clubs in EA SPORTS FC 27. How it works, which platforms can play it, how crossplay works and how to find a club or teammates.

In EA SPORTS FC 27, Clubs is the mode many players still call Pro Clubs: you create one Virtual Pro, join or start a club, and play with up to 10 Clubmates on the pitch, so a full club fields 11 players. EA's own pages place Clubs inside The Grounds, the new social hub, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. To find a team, start from the Clubhouse, accept a friend's invitation or join an existing club, then look for teammates outside the game if no club fits.

We checked EA's Clubs page, EA's FC 27 news posts and EA's cross-play help article on November 2, 2026. Anything EA does not state is marked as not stated, and we left out claims we could not confirm.

What Clubs is in FC 27

EA describes Clubs as an online social mode where you create a Virtual Pro and play with friends. You are not switching between footballers like in a normal match: one person controls one player, and the team wins together. EA's FC 27 mode guide calls it co-operative online competition and says you play with up to 10 Clubmates.

The change in FC 27 is where the mode lives. EA says Pro Clubs now has a home in The Grounds, and the Clubs entry point is the Clubhouse on the Grounds Map. You unlock Clubs by finishing the tutorial and meeting the mentor Paulo Dybala, who is based at the Clubhouse. EA's pages use "Clubs" rather than "Pro Clubs", although we did not find a page that announces the rename in so many words.

How a club season works

EA's Clubs page describes the loop like this:

  1. Join or create a club. You can start your own club, join an existing one or accept a friend's invitation.
  2. Play the Clubs League. Each season you move through divisions toward the Playoffs, with Elite Division at the top.
  3. Try Tournaments. FC 27 adds Tournaments with rotating rulesets, rewards and rounds alongside Leagues and Playoffs.
  4. Track the club. The Clubs Overview page shows Skill Rating, overall record, total goals and season progress. You can share your club's URL, search for clubs, scout Top Clubs and review team composition, match history and per-player performance.

Your Virtual Pro grows through play: EA says Drop-in and Rush matches earn Skill Points that improve your attributes and PlayStyles. You can also switch Archetypes in the Clubhouse, or while waiting in a Clubs or Rush lobby, at no cost.

Drop-in and Rush: playing without a full club

You do not need a full club to play. EA calls Stadium Drop-In (11v11, in Parkside) and Stadium Rush (in Zeiza) the successors to the earlier Clubs Drop-Ins and Clubs Rush. These are the easiest places to meet strangers, test whether you click with them and earn Skill Points while you do.

EA describes Stadium Drop In as matchmade access that pairs you with players of similar skill. You reach the 11v11 Drop-in through its stadium entrance in the Grounds, not through the Clubhouse.

Platforms and crossplay, as officially stated

Two things are stated by EA and worth keeping apart.

Platforms for Clubs. EA says The Grounds, including Clubs, is only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. The older Switch is not listed for Clubs, and PS4 and Xbox One are not either.

Crossplay. EA's FC cross-play help article says players are grouped by platform generation. Current gen means PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It says Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 do not support cross-play for FC, so a Switch player cannot play against someone on PC, PlayStation or Xbox. Cross-play is on by default the first time you play, and you can toggle it under EA Connect, then Social settings, then Cross-play. EA's Clubs page lists rankings for "Crossplatform Current Gen" and for Switch separately, which fits that split.

What we could not confirm: that article does not name Clubs in its text, and EA's FC 27 mode pages do not mention crossplay for Clubs. The Clubs rankings split points the same way, but check the cross-play setting in your game before you plan a mixed-platform squad.

Agree on this before you form a club

A club is easier to keep than to build. Before you invite anyone, settle:

  • Platform and cross-play setting. A friend on Switch 2 cannot join a PS5 and PC squad in cross-play.
  • Positions. Every Virtual Pro takes one place. A club with five strikers and no goalkeeper loses games before kick-off.
  • Competitive or relaxed. Chasing Elite Division and playing for fun need different habits.
  • Schedule and voice. Say which evenings you play and whether you use voice chat.
  • Who captains. Someone has to choose lineups and invite people.

How to find a club or teammates

In the game

Open the Clubhouse and search for clubs, scout Top Clubs and read their match history and team composition before you apply. EA's pages mention joining an existing club or accepting a friend's invitation, so a friend already in a club is the shortest route.

Drop-in as a tryout

Play Stadium Drop-In, keep your position, communicate and note who you enjoyed playing with. Add them and invite them to your club.

Discord and Reddit

LFG Discord servers and football gaming communities are the usual place to post "looking for a club" or "club needs a goalkeeper". Include platform, region, position, play times and whether you use voice. Our list of the best LFG Discord servers in 2026 shows where to post.

GameVerse

GameVerse is a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, with mobile coming soon. For EA SPORTS FC it shows players online now for the same game and region, chill or competitive, and lets you message them. You can search for up to 8 players at once. It does not match on rank, role or schedule, so tell people your position and what you want to play. See the EA SPORTS FC page for the mode details, or browse find players.

Habits that keep a club alive

  1. Fill positions on purpose. Recruit by role, not by whoever answers first.
  2. Set a trial game. One Drop-in session tells you more than a profile.
  3. Keep expectations written. A short message in your group chat about attendance avoids arguments later.
  4. Rotate leadership. A club that depends on one person ends when that person gets busy.
